The newly established Blackpool Museum of Freemasonry in the Masonic Hall will be further enhanced for the Heritage Open Days of Friday 8 and Saturday 9 September with additional displays of aprons, jewels, artefacts and information sheets that will be of interest to Masons and non-Masons alike.
The displays will offer the visitor greater insight into the diversity of Freemasonry and its standing in society. Lists of famous Freemasons from different walks of life will be on view, as well as offering a chance to expand one’s knowledge of ‘side’ degrees and related orders.
As a Mason, even if one is unable to offer their services as a guide to the general public on either of the days, taking advantage of the opportunity of advancing one’s Masonic knowledge by visiting the museum and browsing through the diverse collection of artefacts and information sheets will be enjoyable. You may be surprised by how much you can learn!
Friends of the Blackpool Museum of Freemasonry will be on hand to answer any queries you may have – if they can’t answer your question on the day, they will endeavour to do so at a later date.
The displays have been specially assembled to be of interest to Masons and non-Masons alike.
